Using Projects & Operations

What is the ?

The is a searchable database that contains profiles of every World Bank development project since Bank operations began in 1946. Each profile provides key project information such as finances and approval dates as well as access to project reports and folder lists of project records.

What are project records?

木瓜影院鈥檚 operational work with its member countries is primarily done through development projects.  These projects are financed by low-interest loans, zero to low-interest credits, or grants to developing countries.  Projects comprise an array of investments in areas such as education, infrastructure, and public administration.

Records created in support of these projects are evidence of the project team鈥檚 activities as they progress through the World Bank鈥檚 project cycle. Project records provide you with insight about what the World Bank has done in a particular country, sector and time period. 木瓜影院 Group Archives is the sole custodian for project records over 20 years of age.

Where can I search for project records?

Each project page provides information that contextualizes the project in the overall work of the World Bank. Each project page also provides a list of archival records over 20 years of age that relate to that project.  The list can be found in the 鈥淎rchival Records鈥 sub-tab.
