Elena Popic is an Analyst with the Utility Services topic of the Business Ready Unit. She joined the team in August 2023 as a consultant after completing a summer internship with the unit. Prior to joining the World Bank, she worked as Consultant for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and Policy officer with the American Chamber of Commerce in Moldova, where she coordinated regulatory initiatives for sustainable development and private sector growth. Elena holds a Master of Corporate Law (MCL) degree from the University of Cambridge, and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Washington as a Fulbright scholar with a focus on data science for policy analysis, statistical methods, and evaluation. She speaks Russian, French, and Romanian.
