Kerenny Torres-Negron is an Analyst with the Market Competition - Procurement and Competition topic of the Business Ready Unit. She joined the team in May 2023. Prior to joining the World Bank Group, she worked as an Associate Economist at a leading cross-commodity reporting agency in Boston, where she analyzed North American trade and microeconomic data for select commodities and reported on market conditions. She also worked as a Fiscal Plan Associate at the Financial Oversight and Management Board for Puerto Rico, actively contributing to the implementation of crucial government-wide measures and reforms, including  e-procurement and ease of doing business. Additionally, Kerenny has experience in corporate strategic planning within the banking industry, where she analyzed industry data and market players for a Top 50 US Bank. She holds a Master's degree in Specialised Economic Analysis in Trade and Development from the Barcelona School of Economics, as well as an MBA and a Bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Puerto Rico. She speaks Spanish.
