Hortênsia Monte Vicente Medina

Hortênsia Monte Vicente Medina, a Brazilian national, joined the Subnational B-READY team in 2023, contributing to the Business Insolvency topic. Prior to joining the World Bank, Monte Vicente Medina was a partner at Almeida Castro, Castro & Turbay Advogados, a boutique law firm specializing in white-collar defense matters in Brazil, and worked as a foreign associate in the Litigation Department at Paul Hastings. She holds an LLB from Centro Universitário de BrasÃlia and an LLM from Georgetown University Law Center, where she focused on white-collar defense and compliance. Monte Vicente Medina is licensed to practice law in both Brazil and New York State. She speaks Portuguese and Spanish.
