IFC Advisory Services has been engaged by the Government of Kosovo (GoK) to support the development of up to 150MW wind IPP projects; through the selection of a private partner via a competitive and transparent tender process (two rounds). The auctions will be non-site specific; whereas the interested developers will need to furnish; at the prequalification stage; sufficient information to demonstrate that they have the required financial and technical experience; that the projects that they have been developing have bankable wind measurement data to provide the required generation capacity; that they have the required land use rights and are ultimately capable to connect their power plants to the grid. The RFQ and RFP contain environmental and social criteria and qualifications for the potential bidders.IFC seeks to engage a Social Consultant with significant experience in Kosovo in the implementation of land rights acquisition and stakeholder consultation and engagement in line with IFC Performance Standards. The Consultant will support IFC¡¯s transaction team to review social documentation; including Land Frameworks; submitted as part of the bids that were qualified in the RFQ process.
