CGAP¡¯s Funder Survey has positioned CGAP as an authority on funding flows for the financial inclusion industry; and many rely on this data for their own research and decision making. While CGAP¡¯s global estimate methodology has continually adapted; the degree of change in the global landscape means it is now necessary to do a larger reassessment of what is being counted in the global estimate and why; followed by a deliberate inquiry of how to count it.CGAP seeks a firm to fulfill the following primary objectives of the project; with the potential for downstream work: (1) Support an ongoing strategic and consultative process to define an ideal universe of what kind of programming from what kind of funders belongs in the global estimate of financial inclusion funding moving forward; (2) examine the funding data landscape to assess the feasibility of measuring/estimating the ideal universe; (3) support transitioning into the next phase of the work.
