As part of IFC/WBG Healthcare Advisory Program; and the aim of improving the performance of healthcare companies in developing countries; IFC recently conducted a Benchmarking Survey of 50 healthcare companies (mostly hospital operators) operating in these markets. Specifically the Survey examined the areas of performance in Finance; Operations; Quality; and Day-case/Ambulatory Surgery. In total it compared 185 metrics across all participating companies. It also compared similar data relating to healthcare organizations in high income countries. See information about the Project and links to related content here:https://blogs.worldbank.org/en/opendata/the-power-of-healthcare-benchmarking--a-proven-tool-to-improve-p <https://blogs.worldbank.org/en/opendata/the-power-of-healthcare-benchmarking--a-proven-tool-to-improve-p> One of the goals of the project is to improve Operation Room's performance; i.e. increased efficiency; utilization and improve quality and safety. Therefore; IFC is looking to hire a Consulting firm for delivering a virtual training/coaching program to disseminate good OR working practices among health sector staff in developing countries i.e. Africa; Middle East and Asia. As part of the program participating healthcare professionals should be equipped to implement meaningful improvements in performance of their ORs.
