Philip Wollburg is a Senior Economist for the Living Standards Measurement Study (LSMS), the World Bank¡¯s flagship household survey program housed at the Development Data Group, and a core team member for the World Development Report 2021: Data for Better Lives. His research focuses on agriculture, poverty, health, and climate change, as well as improving survey and measurement methods.
Prior to joining the World Bank, Philip worked with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) and led a project aimed at delivering innovative renewable energy solutions to smallholder agricultural and fisheries communities in East Africa.
Philip holds a post-graduate degree in development economics from the University of Oxford.
