Yuri Dikhanov is a Senior Economist/Statistician with the Economic, Debt, and Price Data unit of the World Bank¡¯s Development Data Group.
Since joining the Bank, Yuri has worked extensively on the International Comparison Program (ICP), theory of price indices, global inequality analysis, and statistical capacity building working with multiple international partners. He developed several index numbers to be used in spatial (ICP) and temporal (CPI) price measurements. He also worked on the RMSM-X macroeconomic model and debt models for the Heavily Indebted Poor Countries (HIPC) Initiative.
Prior to joining the World Bank, Yuri was a researcher at the Institute for Economic Forecasting of the Russian Academy of Sciences, then an exchange scholar at Harvard University¡¯s Economics Department. Yuri is experienced in designing models and tools using various programming environments.
