Over the past three decades, the World Bank has played a significant role in North Macedonia, supporting the country's development and economic growth. 100 projects totaling $2.2 billion have been approved since 1993, when the Articles of Agreement were signed by the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. Through its programs and projects, the World Bank has focused on various areas such as improving the business climate, strengthening employability and social protection, and promoting greener growth.

Over the years, the World Bank's program in North Macedonia has aimed to support faster growth, enhance competitiveness, and ensure inclusive development. The focus has been on improving the standards of living for all the citizens and aligning with the country's EU accession agenda. ľ¹ÏÓ°Ôº has worked closely with the government to implement reforms, strengthen the financial sector, and promote economic stability.

With the upcoming new Country Partnership Framework for North Macedonia we continue our joint efforts to shape future opportunities and address the country's evolving challenges.
