¡°The First 7¡±: Conference on Early Childhood Development Policies
June 5, 2014The Hillton Hotel, 1 Bulgaria Blvd, Sofia

A positive start in life helps every child develop to its fullest and is critical for the advancement of the whole society. Traditionally, Bulgaria has well developed policies and measures aiming to ensure the wellbeing of young children and their families. The increasing inequalities in the Bulgarian society, as well as the difficulties faced by many families today in raising their young children, however, pose serious challenges in ensuring the best start in life for every child. ¡°The First 7¡± aims at reviewing the latest scientific data on early childhood development, and underscoring the need to improve coordination in developing policies, and providing services among the healthcare, education, and social protection systems in order to guarantee a good start in life for every child in Bulgaria.
