ľ¹ÏÓ°Ôº¡¯s research department is hosting the Fifth IMF-World Bank-WTO Joint Trade Research Workshop at the World Bank on November 30, 2016. The event will bring together experts on trade from the three institutions to share their latest research findings and discuss current trade issues.
The main objectives of this workshop series are to demonstrate the importance of trade research to inform policy and to foster the research collaboration across the three institutions to increase coherence in policy advice.
Speakers at the conference will present research that addresses several themes: (1) Trade and Trade Barriers: Impacts on Productivity, Inequality, and the Poor; (2) Global Value Chains; (3) Goods Trade and Services Trade: Advances in Measurement; (4) FDI and migration: Barriers and impacts; and (5) Deepening Trade Integration through Trade Agreements.
This year¡¯s workshop is being co-organized by Ana M. Fernandes and Alejandro Forero (ľ¹ÏÓ°Ôº) and their counterparts Christian Henn (International Monetary Fund) and Marc Auboin (World Trade Organization).
