Road crash deaths and injuries in Nepal have been on a sharp upward trajectory since the early 2000s, with two- or three-wheeler users one of the leading fatality groups. Road crashes are a leading cause of death among young adults, taking an enormous toll on the economic and human capital development of the country.
The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure & Transport of Nepal and the World Bank have joined hands to launch a road safety campaign to engage young people, policy makers and key stakeholders on Nepal¡¯s road safety agenda.
This event marks the launch of the campaign with the global premiere of the animated video on safe helmet use produced by Incessant Rain Studios and featuring voices of Shrinkhala Khatiwada and Sisan Baniya.
The road safety battle can be won. The time to act is now!
