Green Public Procurement: An Overview of Countries¡¯ Green Procurement Practices

  • The ¡°¡± report launch event took a look at the global view of Green Public Procurement (GPP). Aiming to build GPP capacity in country procurement systems, this event focused on the institutional dimensions needed for the whole of government to mainstream GPP practices. Discussion topics covered a wide range of country cases and present handbooks and tools for practitioners. The event addressed the issues practitioners need to consider in designing and implementing GPP reforms. Panelists discussed country examples, including the Indian Railroads and the Philippines government¡¯s practices.
