Bruno Cr¨¦pon, Professor at ENSAE and ?cole Polytechnique and co-Scientific Director of the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab Middle East and North Africa (J-PAL MENA), delivers a presentation on the nature of gender norms and how they interact with labor markets and institutions to influence female labor force participation and economic inclusion. Prof. Cr¨¦pon will present evidence from J-PAL impact evaluations worldwide and then bring in a specific focus on MENA. Prof. Cr¨¦pon¡¯s presentation is part of the knowledge agenda of the MENA Gender Innovation Lab (MNAGIL). MENAGIL is working with J-PAL MENA to leverage rigorous evidence and inform design and scale up of World Bank operations to close the gender gap in the MENA region.
