Investment Project Financing (IPF) is the main lending vehicle for the World Bank, accounting for three-quarters of total Bank financing. Previous research has identified important predictors of project performance. ľ¹ÏÓ°Ôº is currently conducting an assessment of IPF that updates and extends this work, with a focus on lessons for the management of quality. In this Policy Research Talk on September 24, 2018, Jed Friedman highlighted results from this ongoing research, including the role of country characteristics, staffing, design, and supervision in IPF performance.
