Crime, conflict, and violence have exacted a heavy toll on societies throughout history, but their growing internationalization in recent decades threatens to raise the costs even higher. In this Policy Research Talk delivered on November 19, 2019, World Bank economist Quy-Toan Do discussed the policy instruments available to the international community to ensure adequate provision of global security in a world where domestic political stability and law enforcement capability have become regional and global public goods.
