In Central Asia, irrigation is critical for ensuring food security, yet much irrigation infrastructure and many management systems remain out of date. As such, the World Bank, together with its partners, is supporting initiatives that introduce greater innovation to irrigation technology and management, to improve food security and boost prosperity for all people across Central Asia.
