On March 18th, 2020, the World Bank launched the Global Public Procurement Database (GPPD) ¨C the world¡¯s first database dedicated to the collection of country-specific public procurement information from 218 countries and territories.The GPPD is a World Bank initiative with the objective of meeting the increasing demand, from both the public and the private sectors, for a comprehensive global knowledge product that captures data about country procurement systems and country eProcurement implementations at a global level.
