Partnership Council Meeting ¡ª May, 28th 2024, Stockholm, Sweden

The Knowledge for Change Program (KCP) held its Partnership Council Meeting in Stockholm, where strategic updates and research priorities were discussed. Indermit Gill, World Bank Chief Economist, emphasized the global role of the Development Economics Vice Presidency (DEC) and the World Bank Institute's efforts in engaging policy groups using modern technology.

Kerina Wang, KCP Program Manager, outlined the program's focus on generating original, operational, and open knowledge, emphasizing the need for better dissemination and application of research findings.

Somik Lall discussed climate-compatible development, highlighting the importance of resilience-building and improved climate risk estimation. Deon Filmer presented ongoing research projects, including DaTax and the Jobs for Women Research Initiative, which address critical policy issues.

Haishan Fu emphasized refining poverty measurements and improving data quality, while Norman Loayza discussed efforts to reduce emissions through better building standards.

Donor partners stressed the importance of producing impactful research and fostering collaborative efforts to address global challenges.
