Caio Piza is a Senior Economist on the Development Impact Evaluation department (DIME) at the World Bank, where he currently leads the research agenda in private sector development. His research is devoted to understand the main barriers that prevent firms from adopting technologies that have private and social returns, and design interventions aimed to overcome the barriers and help firms grow. Before joining DIME, Caio was a research fellow at the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, DC, and an assistant professor at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie in S?o Paulo, Brazil. Caio holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Sussex in the UK.
