Sekou is a Research Officer in the Development Impact department (DIME 2, Gender, Economic Opportunity, and Fragility) at the World Bank. He is an impact evaluation coordinator and development policy designer, with interests in governance and decentralization, private sector development and resilience FCS settings. His work spans on research design for impact assessment on intervention options for optimizing World Bank projects’ policy impact in the Sahel CMU countries (Burkina Faso, Chad, Mali and Niger); with the ultimate objective in improving service delivery in local level, as well as building resilience and setting up conditions for recovery in conflict contexts. Sekou got a master’s degree in statistics and economics, in National High School of Applied Statistics and Economics in Abidjan, C?te d’Ivoire. Prior to join the World Bank in April 2017, Sekou worked as Statistician at the Burkina Faso Civil Servants Retirement Funds (CARFO), and as a Deputy manager in a consultant firm. He also supported impact evaluation activities at Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) in Burkina Faso.
