DIME Research Assistant and Field Coordinator Recruitment Drives
Each year, DIME organizes two large-scale batch recruitment drives, in Fall and Spring. The positions advertised in these drives allow project teams at DIME to hire for the following roles:
- Research Assistants ¡ª Work with the research team to support data acquisition, processing, cleaning, and analysis,
- Field Coordinators ¡ª Supervise implementation of the impact evaluations in the field and liaise with the research team, World Bank operational staff, and Government Officials.
- Junior Field Coordinators ¡ª Local staff who support Field Coordinators with field supervision and data collection

DIME is seeking a Short-Term Consultant (STC) to contribute to its collaboration with the European Commission¡¯s DG REGIO. This exciting role focuses on developing an evaluation framework to promote experimentation and improve the effectiveness of EU Cohesion Policy. Key responsibilities include analyzing evaluations, synthesizing findings, and engaging with stakeholders. The role requires strong skills in literature review, background research, and synthesizing technical findings into clear, actionable reports. Candidates should also demonstrate the ability to communicate technical methodologies effectively, work collaboratively in a large team, and incorporate diverse feedback into high-quality outputs. The Development Impact Group (DIME) has a multi-year partnership with the World Food Programme (WFP)'s Office of Evaluation (OEV) to generate impact evaluation evidence on WFP programming. The projects, in Zambia and the Gambia, are part of the School-based Programming (SBP) window of work within this partnership, which looks to better understand how school meal programs can promote health, nutrition, learning, and the creation of human capital, while at the same time stimulate local economies when school meals are procured locally. The school-based programmes (SBP) window is looking for 2 Field Coordinators (FCs) to support the impact evaluations. Each field coordinator will oversee liaising between WFP country offices, World Bank country offices, and evaluation team, overseeing the day-to-day implementation of the evaluations¡¯ project and data collection efforts. The Development Impact Group (DIME), which is a department in the World Bank¡¯s DEC VPU, is looking for a consultant who will work as a Field Coordinator for Impact Evaluations (IE) of the EAQIP project. Working in collaboration with various partners - including high-level officials at the Rwanda Energy Group (REG) and the World Bank¡¯s Energy Global Practice, the consultant¡¯s work will primarily consist of coordination, communications, supervision and management of the rollout of randomized project activities as well as the planning and supervision of quantitative data collection. The Consultant will also supervise quantitative fieldwork and report on implementation progress to the research team. The Consultant will be responsible for ensuring that every part of the impact evaluation is carried out according to the study design and protocols. On the major filed coordination and supervision issues, the consultant is expected to work independently and to engage with internal and external counterparts with minimum guidance. Required qualifications for the position include at least a master¡¯s degree in economics, public health or related social disciplines; good knowledge of impact evaluation methods, field experience managing impact evaluation and/or data collection in Rwanda and high proficiency in English. ľ¹ÏÓ°Ôº's Development Impact Group (DIME) is looking for an Extended Term Consultant (ETC) to: 1) utilize big data platforms to automatically and systematically process and analyze development datasets, and 2) provide technical consultancy on the evaluation and enhancement of public information systems and the generated datasets. The successful candidate will have experience in data analysis and documentation, workflow management, and web development. The ETC will support multiple initiatives across the Development Impact Group, including DIME Analytics, specialized team that creates tools that improve the quality of impact evaluation research for all, and the group's engagement with the Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO) of the European Commission and MEGA, an initiative to utilize microdata and evidence for government action.
