Human capital¡ªthe knowledge, skills, and health that people accumulate throughout their lives¡ªis key to Indonesia¡¯s future.

In 2020, the Indonesia Human Capital Index score is 0.54, which increases from 0.53 in 2018. This means that a child born in Indonesia today will only be 54 percent as productive as she or he could be under the benchmark of complete education and full health.
