Supporting the People of Myanmar.

ľ¹ÏÓ°Ôº is providing direct support to the poor and vulnerable population through the ) with financing from the from the Myanmar Partnership Multi-Donor Trust Fund ($22.5 million). It was implemented from January 2023 to September 2024 by two international partners:  International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and World Food Programme (WFP) to channel resources directly to communities. . The project focuses on enhancing food security and livelihoods for vulnerable populations impacted by crises in select areas of Myanmar. The four project components are: emergency food assistance, nutritional support, livelihoods assistance, and access to basic services.

Key results:

  • More than 535,000 beneficiaries were reached (exceeding original targets), as of June 30, 2024.
  • Enhanced food security for 45,200 conflict-affected households and providing nutrition support to over 17,000 women, girls and children.
  • Livelihood assistance (agriculture production & cash transfers) to 203,400 beneficiaries and improved basic services (water, sanitation, shelter) for 270,000 more.
