  • Thank you for being a part of the Fragility Forum 2020 Virtual Series

Thank you for joining us virtually over the past 3 months, leading and contributing to many insightful discussions on partnering for development and peace. Our work continues to be as relevant and urgent as ever as we respond to the compounded impacts of COVID-19 and other crises in settings impacted by fragility, conflict and violence.

While this year's forum is officially over, all the videos and podcasts will still be available. You can find them archived under the calendar tab and on the .

We hope you found this virtual series valuable. Please take a few minutes to answer a to help us learn from your experiences and improve for future events.

    See you next time,
    The Fragility Forum team

  • The Fragility Forum is an event organized by the World Bank Group that brings together practitioners and policymakers from around the world to exchange knowledge and experience on engaging in environments affected by fragility, conflict and violence. Held every other year, the Fragility Forum 2020 has been transformed into a Virtual Series to adapt to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The Forum aims to provide an opportunity to harness the collective brain trust of stakeholders coming from government, international institutions, donor agencies, private sector, civil society, academia and media to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of development approaches to achieve lasting impact. It has been held three times previously.

Populations living in FCV contexts are already more vulnerable than others, and the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic may expose them further. FCV-affected countries also hold scant financial resources, weak safety net programs, inadequate health systems and infrastructure, fewer doctors, and limited access to protective gear to support their population. Loss of revenue-generating activities, lower remittance flows, reduced cross-border trading, and unequal access to medical treatment are likely to hit those living in FCV contexts harder. As such, it has perhaps never been more important to engage on FCV-related issues to build resilience and find solutions to the most prescient issues affecting them.
