Learning from the Evidence on Forced Displacement - a Training Program

Are you developing, implementing, or advising on policy and operations for forcibly displaced and host communities? Join us for a training program that will present the latest socioeconomic evidence related to forced displacement and show how it can inform operations, programming and policies. 

The training is based on research funded by the UK Government-UNHCR-World Bank Building the Evidence on Forced Displacement (BEoFD) research program and organized by BEoFD in collaboration with the  (JDC).

Eight thematic modules will be delivered by experts from UNHCR, World Bank, and research organizations such as Overseas Development Institute and American Institutes for Research. The training combines methodological elements, operational experiences, and policy-related components.

The program begins on September 27, 2023, with a module entitled The Use of Forced Displacement Socio-Economic Data. JDC Senior Economist Domenico Tabasso will lead this inaugural session.

Upcoming modules of the Learning from the Evidence on Forced Displacement training program are as follows:

Speakers will include experts from the UNHCR, the World Bank, and partner organizations, including Jeni Klugman (Senior Fellow, Brookings Institution), Jessica Hagen-Zanker (Overseas Development Institute), Thomas de Hoop (American Institutes for Research), and Monette Zard (Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University).
