Report Launch Event: The Care Economy in Indonesia

ľ¹ÏÓ°Ôº Indonesia, supported by the Australian Government, is launching a report on the Care Economy in Indonesia to support the Indonesian Government achieve its objective to increase the female labor force participation rate to 70% and implementation the recently adopted Care Economy Roadmap and National Action Plan 2025-2045.The report provides a comprehensive assessment of Indonesia¡¯s care ecosystem, with a focus on childcare, and makes practical recommendations for the government, private sector, and other stakeholders.

The report highlights that investments are needed across the entire care ecosystem to facilitate women¡¯s entry and retention in the labor force, while improving the wellbeing of children and families. Examples highlighted from different contexts aim to inspire policy action and development of programs that address the care-related barriers that hinder women¡¯s economic participation and social wellbeing. The report launch event will feature a keynote speaker by high-level representatives from the Government of Indonesia, which will be followed by a brief presentation of the report and a panel discussion highlighting the perspectives of various government agencies, civil society and the private sector.  

The event will be live streamed in Bahasa Indonesia and will feature English and sign language interpretation via the Zoom platform. Instructions about how participants can select their preferred language can be found?
