Doing Business, through its registering property indicators, measures the efficiency of property registration systems through the time, cost and number of procedures required to transfer a commercial property. This year, Doing Business is expanding the scope of the Registering Property indicator and is collecting new data on the overall quality of land administration systems. The session will focus on the four new areas of land administration measured by Doing Business: the reliability of infrastructure, the transparency of processes, the geographic coverage of land registration systems and land dispute resolution mechanisms.
