On September 7, 2018, the 5th Urbanization and Poverty Reduction Research Conference brought together academics and development practitioners to present and discuss the most pressing questions related to the spatial organization of cities and economic growth. The panel for this opening session included Tatiana Gallego Lizon (IADB), Edward Glaeser (Harvard University), Aisa Kirabo Kacyria (UN-Habitat), and Christopher Williams (UN-Habitat).
