Coalitions for Reforms Global Program

The Coalitions for Reforms (C4R) Global Program helps navigate reform and policy implementation challenges by raising awareness, building capacity, and promoting the uptake of an integrated approach on collective action. The C4R approach combines tools to build leadership skills, establish coalitions, manage change, and deploy communications strategically.

Governance Global Director, Arturo Herrera, discusses with Program Manager, Mathieu Cloutier, social contracts in analyzing development and reforms and the Coalitions for Reforms Global Partnership

Collaborative Leadership for Development

The  program was a key predecessor to the Coalitions for Reforms (C4R) Global Program. This now-disbanded initiative, previously hosted by the World Bank Institute, was designed to accelerate development by addressing the ¡°people¡± challenges that often hinder technically sound projects.

By promoting adaptive leadership and fostering coalitions, CL4D effectively supported the implementation of complex reforms. C4R builds upon the foundational work of CL4D, continuing its mission of addressing reform and policy implementation challenges by integrating these core principles while also expanding its focus to broader collective action. We have archived the valuable lessons and practices from CL4D to ensure they continue to inform and inspire our current work.
