In 2012, in lieu of a global conference, the READ Trust Fund sponsored two regional workshops ¨C one for countries in the Eastern Europe and Central Asia region, and one for countries in the Africa region.

The primary purpose of the workshops was to create an interactive environment where assessment practitioners implementing READ-funded activities can share their experiences and learn from each other.

The country teams were asked to come prepared to discuss their experiences with various types of assessment activities being funded under READ Trust Fund.  The ensuring discussion and knowledge sharing helped the teams to resolve any challenges that they were facing in relation to those activities so that they could move forward more effectively.

Education specialists and assessment experts from the World Bank planned the program and facilitated the workshop in collaboration with the country teams.

Please refer to the corresponding tabs on this webpage to learn more about regional workshops and workshop materials.
